Contains a letter written by Matthews, the American soldier in charge of the German POW camp wherein Peters was imprisoned. The letter lauds Peters for his good work ethic and high moral standards. Also describes the special bond the two of them enjoyed because of their membership in the LDS Church. Also includes a letter written by Peters to Matthew following the war's end, wherein he thanks Matthews for his kind treatment and good example.
